One Day in Itaewon

ITAEWON, SEOUL One Day Flea Market 12 JUN 2019, 1-6 PM OPEN SPACE BETWEEN BUILDING 805 AND 808 COLLEGE OF ART, ANSEONG CAMPUS, CAU On 17 May, from noon to evening, 24 students studying at the Department of Photography, Chung-Ang University would spent 8 hours in the area of Itaewon in Seoul. It was seemingly simple - exchanges with strangers, from a potato to an extraordinary object one could ever imagine. The task required not only the skill of negotiation and creative thinking but also depends upon observation, problem-solving, strategies to document and archive the exchange process. At the end of this task, the students transformed their effort into the collected objects. On 12 June 2019, a flea market would be held. The object collected would be sold. Students hence need to price their effort. The fund earned from these collectibles would be used to support the catalogue of their end of semester exhibition
