2020년 초부터 우리 일상의 대부분이 바뀌었다. 과거에 당연시 되었던 일과는 이제 다시 한 번 생각해보게 된다. 버스를 타고 등교 또는 출근을 하는 것, 심지어 카페에서 친구를 만나러 가는 것과 같은 간단한 외출 마저도 불안해졌다. 우리는 사회문화적인 삶은 많이 누리지 못하고 있으며, 반대로 더 많은 사회적 네트워크, 가족 간의 시간 또는 고독의 시간을 가지고 있다. 유행병이 우리 사람들 간의 관계를 혼란스럽게 하고 있는 것이다. 시간과 공간에 대한 우리의 인식은 영구적으로 바뀌었다. 이 전시회를 통해 <기초 사진 실기>학생들의 작품을 한 눈에 볼 수 있다. 대학 입학 전의 부푼 기대에도 불구하고, 이들 중 많은 학생들은 대학 생활을 즐길 기회를 거의 갖지 못하고 있다. 몇몇 학생에게는 이 전시회를 준비하는 과정이 서로를 직접 만나는 첫 기회가 되었다. 우리는 단 몇 분이라도 그들의 관심, 발전, 너그러움, 향수, 호기심, 무력감, 행복에 대한 각자의 세계를 살펴보기 위해 주의를 기울여야 한다. Starting from the beginning of 2020, a majority of our daily life has changed. The routines used to be intuitive in the past comes with a second thought now. As simple as going out from home, commute to work or class on a bus, or even going to meet a friend at a café became uneasy. We have less social and cultural life, but more social network, family or solitude time. The pandemic has disrupted the connection between us. Our perception of time and space are permanently changed. This exhibition offers a glance to the works by students of basic photography. Despite the expectation before university admission, many of these students barely have chance to enjoy university life. The preparation of this exhibition was surprisingly the first in-person meeting for some of them. We should spend our attention, even just a couple of minutes, to look at the private worlds of their concern, development, indulgence, nostalgia, curiosity, helplessness and happiness.
